Most of us prefer to get through our New Year’s Eve hangovers by binging on new movies on Netflix, but some people take a slightly different approach to New Year’s Day: hurling themselves face-first into the frigid waters at Coney Island. It’s a tradition that the Polar Bear Club has been keeping up since 1903 and each year just keeps getting bigger (check out these vintage photos for proof).
