Port Bou

A new opera from composer-performer Elliott Sharp—based on the final days of philosopher Walter Benjamin's life—premieres with this two-night run. Bass-baritone Nicholas Isherwood sings the lead role. Ace new-music pianist Jenny Lin offers support (alongside Sharp's own pre-recorded electronic sounds), while William Schimmel holds down the accordion chair.
