This New Year's Eve, you can celebrate for two whole days at the Children's Museum of Manhattan—and still be in pajamas before bedtime. 

On Tuesday, December 30, enjoy the New Years Eve's Eve Concert with Grammy-nominated musician Mega Ran, a teacher turned rapper, songwriter, producer, podcast host and author who makes crowd powered interactive and fun music for the whole family.

On Wednesday December 31, The New Year's Eve Ball Drop and Dance Party will happen at 12pm and 2pm for all ages on the first floor. Plus, on the third floor, kids can decorate their own party hats to ring in the New Year, or decorate a time capsule container and fill it with drawings, dreams and hopes for the year ahead.

Inspired by the grit and glam of New York City in the mid-to-late '70s, The Roxy Hotel presents New Year's Eve New York, New York 2026. This glamorous party features a premium open bar with endlessly flowing champagne, decadent hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails and bottles of choice served to tables that are reserved. The evening will also showcase a special exhibition of photographs by Chris Stein in an intimate tribute to Blondie's legendary drummer, Clem Burke. 

Expect a night of old-school glam—and make sure you dress accordingly. The party is hosted by Sienna, Dustin Pittman and Richard Boch, with music by Disco Bambino, Nina Tarr and Harkness Granger.

This New Year's Eve, pull out your best dresses, your nicest ties and your most seductive masks. The Soho Grand Hotel is ringing in 2026 with their 16th Annual Black & White Masquerade Ball as an ode to Truman Capote's infamous 1966 Grand Masked Ball at The Plaza. This year, the downtown institution reimagines the iconic soirée for a new generation of revelers. 

On December 31, the hotel's lobby will transform into a monochrome fantasy with champagne glitter towers as guests indulge in tiers of hors d'oeuvres, premium pours and the aesthetic of old-world glamour and downtown decadence. Jenny Albright, Miss Monroe and Malcolm Flex will provide the soundtrack for the night. 

Attire is black tie, masks are mandatory and dancing is obligatory. Tickets range from $249 to $349, with package deal options up to $5,000.

This New Year’s Eve, Refuge NYC wants you off your phone and in the moment as electronic music pioneer Sasha delivers an extended set inside their 500-capacity, no-phones club.

Set inside a standalone 19th-century industrial complex between East Williamsburg and Bushwick, Refuge was built to center sound, space and spirit above all else. The club features 35-foot ceilings, original brickwork and zero residential restrictions, enabling true late nights and marathon after-hour parties—perfect for a New Year's Eve celebration. 

Phones are discouraged, there's no VIP and no bottle service, keeping the experience raw and unfiltered. Tickets are on sale now for $115, which includes a three-hour open bar.

Not looking to drink this New Year's Eve? No problem. Run as if 2025 were chasing you (and truly, can you imagine a scarier horror concept?) at New York Road Runners’ annual four-mile Midnight Run, which provides credit to finishers toward the New York City Marathon. At midnight, start your trek with hundreds of other festive joggers at Central Park and take in the gorgeous fireworks display at the end. (Trust us: It’s a hell of a lot healthier than binge drinking and hooking up with a rando. Plus, you'll get a nice New Balance long-sleeve shirt out of it.)

Founded in 2011, Puppetsburg is a female artist-owned and operated company that hosts fun, culturally relevant puppet shows for kids of all ages. And this holiday season, you can catch their interactive show at Union Square to ring in the New Year.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve with your kiddo at Puppetsburg's puppet show, hosted at Time Out Market New York, Union Square. Kiddos and parents alike are invited to dress to impress (sparkles, anyone?) for a disco-themed morning of music and movement. Plus, the show will culminate in a sparkling countdown and festive toast at noon so that kids can usher in 2026 before bedtime. Once the show wraps, you can fill up on Neapolitan pies and burgers for the littles, and coffees and mimosas, thanks to our stellar line-up of food and drink vendors.

For the first time ever, join Sofar Sounds for an intimate, music-driven New Year's Eve celebration at Great Jones Distilling Co. with live performances and plenty of whiskey to take you into 2026. 

The night is set up to be a choose-you-own-adventure experience, with different surprise performers and music playing throughout the distillery. You can also enjoy a welcome whisky cocktail upon arrival, canapés served all night and a whiskey cheers at midnight to toast to 2026 with the Great Jones 10 Year Bourbon. Cocktail attire is encouraged, so dress accordingly.

The guys at Gay Guy Friday have planned something special for this New Year's Eve: Gay Guy New Year's Eve, hosted at their signature Bushwick spot, Echo Bravo Bar. The night will feature a crowd-sourced music video playlist, a curated lineup of DJs sourced directly from their local scene and a free champagne toast at midnight. 

The featured lineup of DJs include Camgirll8, Mari Concha B2B Valence and Sinistare. As usual, this is not an event exclusively for cis gay mengirls, theys and people with "gay guy energy" are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

The night starts at 8pm and ends at 4am at Echo Bravo Bar (445 Troutman St, Brooklyn). Open bar tickets (11pm-1am) are on sale now for $60, or general admission for $20.

Single and the City formally invites you and all your 25+ single friends to their Black & White New Year's Eve Singles Party. Get ready to mingle, dance and find your perfect match at one of the largest NYE parties in the city. 

The concept is simple: wear black or white and bring your best energy to meet a group of over 300 professionals, creatives and entrepreneurs ready to welcome 2026. The night takes place at HouseWatch in the East Village where the crowd is always engaging, mingling is comfortable and the night feels full of possibility.

The party starts at 8pm and goes until 2am at HouseWatch (50 Avenue B, Manhattan). General admission starts at $64 for women and $71 for men. This party is for those 25 and older only.

You must obey the laws of traffic at this playful New Year's Eve singles party. The NYE Stoplight Party returns to Astoria to ring in 2026, welcoming everyonewhether you're taken, single, or somewhere in between.

Upon check-in, you'll get a glow-in-the-dark necklace that lets everyone know your status: red means you're in a relationship, yellow means "it's complicated" or open to chatting, and green means you're single and ready to mingle. A live DJ will be performing all night, and at midnight everyone gets a complimentary glass of champagne to kick off 2026. Festive NYE party favors will be also passed around throughout the night

General admission is currently $40 and VIP tickets are $80, which includes an open bar and appetizers (grab them before prices go up). The night kicks off at Aura Astoria (30-07 Newtown Avenue) at 9pm and runs until 1am.

Silent disco fans, here's the perfect way to spend your New Year's Eve. Head to the Astoria Bohemian Hall Beer Garden for the annual NYE Ball Drop Party featuring a silent disco, a full bar, indoor and outdoor party areas and three live DJs. 

When you arrive, you'll receive wireless headphones with volume controls and channel switches to choose your DJ: one spins pop, EDM and mashups; another plays '80s, '90s and 2000s throwbacks; and the third is hip-hop/R&B. You can also tune into the Carson Daly Countdown at midnight and enjoy chances to win raffle prizes

Doors open at 5pm, with the silent disco running from 9pm to 1am at the Bohemian Beer Garden (29-19 24th Ave, Queens). Tickets are $30 per person.

Ring in 2026 from 1,131 feet in the air at the NYE Marquee Skydeck at Edge, featuring a live DJ set, a premium open bar and unparalleled views of New York City. 

Located on the the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards, the Marquee Skydeck offers guests the chance to toast to the new year from the highest indoor/outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere while watching fireworks light up the 360-degree skyline. The DJ will keep the party going from 9pm to 3am.
