Masterpieces: A Virtual Experience of the Museo del Prado

You can visit one of the most well-known museums in Spain without booking a flight. Masterpieces: A Virtual Experience of the Museo del Prado makes its US premiere at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn from October 1 through December 20. Developed by ACCIONA Cultura in collaboration with Madrid's Museo Nacional del Prado, the immersive VR experience transports visitors inside five iconic paintings, including Diego Velázquez’s “Las Meninas,” Hieronymus Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights,” Francisco Goya’s “Witches’ Sabbath,” Paolo Veronese’s “Venus and Adonis” and Peter Paul Rubens and Jan Brueghel's “The Sense of Sight.” A fictional museum security guard narrates the journey, turning the works into three-dimensional worlds visitors can explore.

General admission tickets cost $30, children between eight and 12 can enter for $8, students for $16, veterans, seniors and visitors with disabilities for $20.
