Josiah McElheny, “Paintings”

To the extent that the pieces in this exhibition consists mainly of wall mounted shadow-boxes, you could say that this renowned contemporary glass artist's latest offerings by do constitute painting of a sort, though the case is more persuasively made by the objects which include actual paint. Paintings or not, these works supply the same sublime dazzle that characterizes all of McElheny’s art.
