Chamber Music of Ken Thomson

The busy composer and reed player presents a night of classical compositions with this set, which has been inserted into a weeklong Stone residency by his avant-jazz group, Gutbucket. Thomson's hell-bent-for-leather bass-clarinet quintet, Perpetual, justly received a ton of praise when it premiered on record, back in 2013. The JACK Quartet will join Thomson to play it at this gig. Among the other pieces on the program is restless, a new work for cello and piano.
