Man and Boy

British director Maria Aitken keeps a solid cast on the same side of the ledger for Terence Rattigan's 1963 drama of human bonds cashed in for profit. Frank Langella nearly steals the show (as is his wont) playing an amoral European financier lumbering toward personal and financial destruction; Adam Driver is vividly self-lacerating as his estranged son.—David Cote
