Itamar Moses’s nerd-sweet romance, generously directed by Pam MacKinnon, is the ballad of computer scientist Elliot (Karl Miller) and molecular biologist Molly (Aubrey Dollar). Moses seems intent on tracing every vector of his characters’ self-aware hurt, and keeps technical details realistically complex—so it’s lucky that erudition is seductive.—Helen Shaw
