California native Melissa Joy Manning unveils the first NYC shop for her eponymous jewelry label. In 2009, Manning was certified green by her home state, and this 1,000-square-foot boutique reflects that environmental consciousness, with the designer’s sustainable, handmade men’s and women’s baubles ($25–$15,000), accessories ($50–$1,500), and sculptures ($250–$5,000) displayed on reclaimed cabinets and tables. Look for elegant opal-and-diamond rings ($2,560), oversize sterling-silver hoop earrings ($65) and 14-karat gold limited-edition labradorite necklaces ($1,125).
