If you think “too much garlic” is a reasonable criticism, head elsewhere. And that’s fine with the rest of us, who’ll gladly take your table and unwind at this warmly lit, white-walled garden-level café, frequented by a chill international East Village crowd. Here, you’ll eat simple, filling Moroccan food with nice touches, like fresh shallots in the broth for mussels (a frequent special) and extremely tasty olive oil drizzled atop hummus and baba ghanoush; the mixed platter comes with both, as well as exceptional tabouli.
