Times Square’s newest attraction isn’t flashing on a billboard or blasting through a speaker tower. It’s hiding in plain sight—tucked inside the historic Brill Building at Broadway and 49th Street—and it just turned one of the city’s most famous corners into a full-blown playground for grown-ups.

Behind the doors of the legendary building where Carole King, Burt Bacharach and Paul Simon once made musical history, two interactive experiences have quietly taken over the lower levels: The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show. Together, they’ve transformed the Brill into a subterranean hub for puzzles, competition and other silly fun.

Finding it is easy once you know the trick. Head to the Brill Building entrance at 1619 Broadway, walk past the lobby bustle and follow the signs downstairs. Within minutes, the chaos of Times Square gives way to cinematic sets, glowing buzzers and legit TV game show energy.

The Escape Game is the more immersive of the two, with six multi-room adventures that drop you into everything from a high-stakes art heist to a frozen expedition in Legend of the Yeti. Three of the experiences (Cosmic Crisis, Legend of the Yeti and Ruins: Forbidden Treasure) are making their New York debut here, meaning even seasoned escape-room pros will find something new. Each game runs about an hour and is built for groups.

Right next door, Great Big Game Show flips the script entirely. Instead of solving puzzles, you become a contestant in a live, TV-style competition complete with a host, lights and mini-games that blend trivia, strategy and physical challenges. Games run in rotating formats across multiple studios, so no two visits feel the same.

Times Square may be famous for its bright lights, but its newest thrill lives a few floors below them. Here's your chance to go underground and play.
