A new wellness spa just opened inside the Waldorf Astoria—and it looks every bit as opulent as the hotel deserves. Branded as the world’s largest Guerlain spa, the 22,000-square-foot destination, operated by the storied French cosmetics and skincare brand, is open not just to hotel guests and residents but also to locals and visitors craving a luxurious outing.

Located on the fifth floor of the building, Guerlain Wellness Spa boasts 16 treatment rooms (including two VIP double suites), a cryotherapy chamber and an array of innovative amenities that cover nearly every modern wellness trend. Highlights include an arctic snow cave (“for a specialized cold therapy experience,” according to an official release), a Moroccan hammam (basically, a steam bath), an infrared sauna and more.
If you’re more into traditional services, don’t worry—those are here, too. May we suggest a three-day “immersive journey” featuring personalized nutritional plans led by experts, mindful practices and high-performance treatments, for example?

In a fitting tribute to its iconic setting, the spa also offers a series of treatments inspired by the Waldorf Astoria itself. The “Spirit of Achievement,” for example, is a deep massage honoring the statue that has graced the hotel’s entrance for a century—a neck, décolleté and back treatment that will leave you feeling like a different person (in a good way).

The “Like Clockwork” ritual, on the other hand, nods to the hotel’s famous clock, using synchronized sounds and binaural frequencies from a vibroacoustic table to promote deep relaxation and clarity. And then there's the “Deep Muscular Signé New York,” which channels Manhattan’s signature energy, using deep tissue techniques and targeted pressure to melt away tension and restore flexibility. We're already feeling more relaxed.
There’s a lot to experience here, clearly. And all of it is probably worth the very expensive price tag.
