If you’ve ever been told you look exactly like a deadpan comedian or a disgraced Theranos CEO, your moment has arrived.
New York City is about to find out who craves attention and also looks most like two of the internet’s favorite subjects for awkward fascination: Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes. A dual look-alike contest dedicated to the comedian behind The Rehearsal and the imprisoned reason Amanda Seyfried has an Emmy is taking over Washington Square Park this Sunday, October 25, at 1pm.

A week after documentary You Can See Everything finally hit theaters, Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's sui generis documentary gets decidedly more 2026 with a lookalike contest. Because are you even popular if NYC doesn't organize a lookalike contest around you at this point?

The fun doesn’t end when the winner is crowned. Organizers are also planning a ticketed afterparty at The Alligator in Williamsburg, a bar with a particularly appropriate connection to Fielder: an early episode of his HBO series The Rehearsal was filmed there. Attendees will have the chance to party with the contestants, which sounds like the kind of social situation that most people avoid going to at all, and that ultimately gives rise to socially inept people like Fielder and Holmes.
Whether you’re a dead ringer for Fielder’s perpetually bewildered expression or can pull off Holmes’ signature black-turtleneck look, this is your chance to put your resemblance to work. And if you’re simply curious to see a crowd of New Yorkers competing to look like a comedian and a convicted fraudster, Washington Square Park is probably the place to be. And besides, at this point, who knows what other lookalike contests are being held just a few feet away? Maybe this week will also be the Clayface lookalike contest.
