Rooftop Cinema Club NYC 2025 lineup

August

  • August 7: Troop Beverly Hills - Scout’s honor: wilderness survival has never looked this glamorous. Gather your troop, brush up on your Wilderness Girl anthem, and strut to the rooftop for a night dedicated to the ultimate coture-squad: Troop Beverly Hills. "What A Thrill!"  This nostalgic evening celebrates friendship, fearless fashion, and fabulous fun. Phyllis Nefler didn’t survive the wild in couture for you to miss this.
  • August 10: Drag me to the movies: The Parent Trap - Camp rules? Please. We’re breaking curfew, faking accents, and letting the queens handle the chaos of Drag Me the Movies: The Parent Trap. This isn’t summer camp, it’s summer CAMP -- with one drag show, two mischievous twins, and the most iconic handshake of the 90s. Come ready to slay, swap, and scheme.
  • August 14: Clueless 30th Anniversary - 30 years of CLUELESS, and we’re still waiting for someone to invent Cher’s digital closet. Join us for the 30th anniversary of CLUELESS, the film that taught us fashion is a skill, comebacks are an art, and Paul Rudd is apparently immortal.
  • August 18: Singalong: WICKED: Don’t worry — no one hits the high note on the first try. Join us for a special Wicked singalong screening. You know the words. You know the drama. And you definitely know what note you’re gunning for in “Defying Gravity.”
  • August 19: Jane The Virgin Mini Marathon - It’s the kind of show that throws a love confession, a fake death, and a narrator’s opinion into the same scene -- and somehow makes it work. Join us for some of the most iconic Jane the Virgin episodes that do not know how to lower the stakes. At all.
  • August 25: Singalong: Grease: Tell me more, tell me more — like, will there be cocktails? Yes. And a full-blown rooftop singalong screening of Grease. Come for “Greased Lightning,” stay for the group therapy that is “Hopelessly Devoted.”
  • August 29: Singles Night - Hot girl summer? Still sweating. But cuffing season? It’s creeping in.  Singles Night is your chance to mix, mingle, and maybe meet someone worth texting past September. We’re teaming up with the viral Matchbox Dating crew to throw the ultimate late-summer match-up — think mini dates, flirty vibes, and maybe (just maybe) someone to cozy up with once the temperatures finally drop.
  • Sunday's: Muffins & Mimosas: Muffins & Mimosas at Rooftop is your soft start to the week. Your favorite movie, a muffin, a well-deserved mimosa, and zero pressure to be anywhere else. Sunday handled.
  • Date Varies: Wooftop - Truth be told, we created WOOFTOP because we just really want to pet your dog. Bring your best boy and goodest girl to our special dog-friendly screenings!

Time Out Tips for experiencing Rooftop Cinema Club

The cinema is perched above midtown's streets on the Skylawn rooftop of the Embassy Suites Hotel on West 37th Street where the skyline serves as an incredible backdrop. Don't worry about background noise, though: You'll get your own set of over-ear headphones that block out street noise, and you can adjust the volume as needed.

As for seating, you'll get to choose a standard high-back lounge chair or a premium lounge chair that comes with extra cushions. You'll book your ticket type, then get to pick your exact seat on-site, first-come, first-served. Ticket prices range from $23-$29/person depending on your seating preference and movie time.

Keep in mind that you'll be out in the elements, not in an air-conditioned theater. If you're going to a daytime screening, wear some sunscreen; if you're going in the evening, bring a jacket.
