The US Open may be happening out in Queens, but Grand Central Terminal is getting a little bit of match-day energy of its own this weekend.
Dunkin’ and American Express Gold will bring a free, tennis-themed pop-up called "Game, Set, Sip" to Vanderbilt Hall on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm each day. Expect samples of Dunkin’s new seasonal drinks, photo ops, tennis-inspired surprises and a “Gold Court” precision challenge for anyone who wants to test their hand-eye coordination. (American Express Gold Card Members will also have access to a fast-pass line.)
The pop-up coincides with Dunkin’s new tennis-inspired menu, arriving at participating locations nationwide beginning August 30. The headline drink is the Melon Deuce Energy, a bright, Honey Deuce-adjacent concoction that mixes watermelon-lime and raspberry flavors with lemonade. It is not the tournament’s famously boozy Grey Goose cocktail, obviously, but it is a fittingly pinkish option for those making the annual pilgrimage to Flushing Meadows.
Also on the menu is the Matcha Point, made with matcha, French vanilla flavor and protein milk. A medium has 18 grams of protein, making it a potentially practical order for early-morning tennis lessons or post-workout errands. There's even a collectible part: a limited-edition mini tennis can filled with a three-count assortment of Munchkins Donut Hole Treats. Customers who purchase a three-count assorted mix of Munchkins will receive the can while supplies last, one per transaction, at participating Dunkin’ locations.
On Friday, September 4 at 10 am, the brand will release its limited-edition Serve, Sip, Swing merchandise collection online. The range includes orange and pink HEAD x Dunkin’ tennis bags priced at $99 each, along with apparel and accessories priced from $15 to $50.
Whether you have tickets to the Open or just want an excuse to carry tiny doughnuts in a tennis-ball tube, Midtown has your weekend plans covered.
