Hadestown
If you somehow haven't seen Anaïs Mitchell's Tony-winning underworld fever dream yet, Broadway Week is an excellent excuse. Hadestown turns the myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone into a smoky, jazz-inflected folk musical, complete with a score that has become one of Broadway's modern classics. It's romantic, melancholic and extremely good at making you reconsider the wisdom of looking backward.
The Outsiders
The musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton's coming-of-age novel won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical, and it has one of Broadway's most talked-about stage effects: a full-on rumble that turns the theatre into a battleground. The story of the Greasers and Socs remains intact, but the musical adds a propulsive score and athletic choreography that make this much more than a nostalgia trip.
Maybe Happy Ending
This sweet, strange musical about two lonely robots in a futuristic Seoul became one of Broadway's surprise hits, winning the 2025 Tony Award for Best Musical. It's intimate, funny and unabashedly sentimental, with a story that sneaks up on you. If you prefer your Broadway with fewer rumbles and death and instead more existential questions about what it means to be alive, start here.
Buena Vista Social Club
The Broadway musical inspired by the legendary Cuban album brings the music of Havana to the stage with a story about love, memory and musicians finding their way back to one another. The score is packed with classics from the band's catalog, making this one of the Broadway Week options that can feel as much like a concert as a traditional musical.
SIX
There may not be a better time to see SIX than right now. The pop musical about Henry VIII's six wives is scheduled to close on Broadway on January 3, 2027, after 2,178 performances, making this Broadway Week deal a particularly good excuse for a farewell visit.
