Zola Jesus + Effi Briest + Nice Face + Amen Dunes

We'd definitely recommend Zola Jesus to those who like some despair mixed in with their dancing. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the grim electropop outfit's sole member, Nika Roza Danilova, plays in a band (Former Ghosts) with Xiu Xiu's Jamie Stewart. Beforehand, Effi Briest plays highly impassioned avant-pop marked by strong funk underpinnings, spooky guitars and chantlike vocals, and Amen Dunes' Damon McMahon translates tripped-out bedroom psych to the stage.
