The Wedding Present + Savoir Adore

River to River Festival. The two-decades-plus-old English act is still at it; in fact, we think the Wedding Present must own some trademark on the brand of indie rock with tense, jangly guitars that gets revisited by myriad young bands year after year. Opening tonight's fest, Brooklyn electropop combo Savoir Adore has a noirish streak that counterbalances its cutesy boy-girl vocals—a little like Juliana Hatfield fronting the Notwist.
