Sahara Smith

Another one of bluesman T Bone Burnett's young protégés, Sahara Smith is a Texan singer who wraps her gorgeously burnished voice around dusky, countryish numbers. No real surprise that the songs on her album, Myth of the Heart, sound just like Plant and Krauss's Raising Sand, given that both are produced by Burnett; in any case, when it sounds this sweet, you can only applaud.
