Red Baraat + M.A.K.U. Soundsystem

Local drummer and bandleader Sunny Jain heads Red Baraat, said to be the first Indian marching band in the United States. The group explores the exuberant Punjabi wedding-band tradition (baraat is the Hindi word for a wedding processional), as well as Bollywood classics and original tunes. M.A.K.U. Soundsystem opens with its Colombian jazz-punk hybrid hot-foot.
