Nicholas Payton Big Band

New Orleans–bred trumpeter Nicholas Payton started out on the jazz scene, but since then he's become quite the polymath—a magnificent soloist who can add teeth to easy-listening funk and bop. His brash Big Band includes among its ranks some of New York's finest burners, both upstarts and vets.
