in memoriam ... KIT CARSON + U.S. Grant: A Fluxkit Opera

The University of Michigan's Digital Music Ensemble shuffles the deck for this double-header of experimental operas. The evening starts with a juiced-up version of Robert Ashley's surreal first opera, written in 1963. It's followed by DME director Stephen Rush's new Fluxus-inspired opus, in which the opera's events unfold according to the happenings in a live board game.
