Ekmeles: Litany and Panic

John Cage's 1980 Litany for the Whale for two a cappella voices exists, as the name suggests, somewhere between sacred chant and whale song. Mezzo-soprano Rachel Calloway and countertenor Tim Keeler deliver the hypnotic work, and Ekmeles vocal ensemble director and baritone Jeffrey Gavett sings a meditation on illness and death for solo voice, by Timothy McCormack.
