Housed in an elegant Fifth Avenue townhouse, the Academy’s museum has more than 5,000 works of 19th- and 20th-century American art (paintings, sculptures, engravings and architectural drawings). The permanent collection includes works by Louise Bourgeois, Frank Gehry, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg and John Singer Sargent.
