Appointments aren’t required at stylist Ming Chiu’s five-year-old salons, but patrons will often find the chairs at both locations filled with regulars, drawn by Tease’s high-quality cuts and relatively low prices (men $30, women $35–$40). That said, a typical wait is only about 15 minutes, and there’s an abundance of gossip magazines (Us Weekly, People) to help you pass the time. All chops come with a complimentary wash using Tigi BedHead products and a scalp massage. A blow-dry finish will run an extra $10–$15, so you may want to call ahead for a dry cut, which is available by request.
