[title]Bushwig, an annual celebration of the gender-bending arts in north Brooklyn, unfurled at Secret Project Robot this weekend—spreading across an entire weekend for the first time. Boundary-pushing acts took the stage, showing off everything from old-school lip-synching to epic dance routines and performance art that defies description. There was even a wedding! Familiar faces in the crowd (and onstage) included RuPaul's Drag Race alum Milk, downtown veteran Linda Simpson and Wigstock founder (and our pick for NYC's No. 1 queen) Lady Bunny, who stopped by to check out the action on Sunday. In a few short years, Bushwig has cemented itself as one of the city's best queer events. Here's looking forward to what these wacky kids do next.
