Catch food-truck connoisseur John T. Edge when he stops by the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop to talk about NYC’s thriving curbside dining scene. Drawing on examples from his latest tome, The Truck Food Cookbook: 150 Recipes and Ramblings from America’s Best Restaurants on Wheels, Edge will chronicle the rise of Gotham’s mobile eateries and the transition of some roving vendors—such as Calexico and the Treats Truck—to brick-and-mortar locations. Edge will stick around post-talk for a cookbook signing, while the shop (which itself started out as a truck) dishes up gratis treats.
