Duel in the Sun

David O. Selznick’s vain attempt to top the grandiose splendor of Gone with the Wind has its moments, but they’re buried amid a great deal of soapy nonsense. Still, Martin Scorsese loves it and Jennifer Jones looks gorgeous, so…there you go.
