A Man for All Seasons

Robert Bolt’s thoughtful play about Sir Thomas More’s refusal to sanction Henry VIII’s break with the Pope makes a reasonably graceful transition to the screen, with Paul Scofield a superb More and Orson Welles making a strong impression in his one scene as Cardinal Wolsey.
