Balmy weather brought out ballerinas and B-boys alike for the sixth annual New York Dance Parade, which sent dozens of performers twirling down Broadway on May 19. The march, which was loosely organized to show the evolution of art form, brought out performers from the Pink Tutu Ballet, hula hoopers, belly dancers and very limber booty shakers for a Fame-worthy street party. The event culminated in even more shimmying at Tompkins Square Park.
