From the late 17th to the early 18th century, there was no greater supporter of the arts in Ukraine than military leader (and excommunicated Christian) Hetman Ivan Mazepa. The 150 publications on display here document Mazepa's controversial life and his critical role in the development of Ukrainian culture.
