Experimental filmmaker Barbara Hammer is renowned for her body of avant-garde short films and documentaries about lesbian life, such as the early Dyketactics (1974) and Women I Love (1976) and more recent History Lessons (2000) and Lover/Other. This retrospective covers a wide range of her work, screening films in various groupings such as "Mentors: Hammer Collaborates with Other Women," "The Vital 1980s," and "Lesbian and Gay Histories."
