“Barbara Rossi: Poor Traits”

A member of the Chicago Imagist school, Barbara Rossi has imbued her work with all the hallmarks of the Chicago style—particularly a figurative approach that combines Surrealism and Pop Art with a taste for the grotesque. This New Museum revival offers an opportunity to catch up with her work, including her brightly colored paintings on Plexiglas.
