Super Sábado: Quinceañera!

During this month’s complimentary fest, the Spanish Harlem institution honors the quinceañera, a special party to commemorate Latin American girls’ 15th birthday. During the day visitors can check out exhibits, learn how to play the Puerto Rican cuatro (a mini-guitar with ten double strings), learn West African dance moves; rock out with husband-and-wife singers Abbasubi, make capias (handmade pins used as souvenirs at quinceañeras) or get dolled up in hats, gloves and crowns for a glamorous photo-booth session.
