Governors Island Opening Day Family Festival

Escape to Governor’s Island for their annual free Family Festival season kickoff on May 24 from noon­ to 4pm, one day after the park opens. This year along Barry Rd., kids can get in on puppet making with Lisa Abbatomarco, create Trout Crowns with the New York Aquarium, make stories with the Story Pirates and more. Did we mention there will be ice cream, live music and face painting, too? All ages.
