This handsome, comfortable 2,700-seat hall is the headquarters of the New York Philharmonic, the country’s oldest symphony orchestra (founded in 1842) and one of its finest. Depending on whom you ask, the sound ranges from good to atrocious. On four Saturdays each year, the New York Philharmonic presents classical music concerts geared toward children ages 6 to 12.
