Meet the Author: Maya Soetoro-Ng

Ladder to the Moon, the first picture book by Maya Soetoro-Ng, follows Little Suhaila as a golden ladder appears at her window and leads her on a magical journey with her otherworldly grandmother, Annie. The author (and half-sister of President Barack Obama) will read from the book that she says was inspired by her child's questions about Soetoro-Ng's mother. Ages 4 to 8.
