Journey through South Florida’s historic churches by way of "Holy Red", a new solo exhibition by Miami-based artist Johel Pereira. Captured on medium-format film and presented in vintage daguerreotype frames–a nod to the earliest photography form–Pereira’s work looks to the sacred sites as archives of a bygone Miami, set within a rapidly changing city. "Holy Red" debuts at Homebase Studios with a free opening reception on Friday, August 14, 6:30-9:30pm, presented by Supermarket Gallery. On view through September 4, 2026.
