Take a seat, pickleball: Global sensation padel is coming to Miami.

Padel, in case you’ve somehow missed the global racket, is the world’s fastest-growing sport. It's a breezier, more social cousin of tennis that’s charmed everyone from European pros to weekend warriors. Now, Rosso Development and Midtown Development are teaming with ULTRA Padel to launch ULTRA Club Midtown, set to be the largest padel club in the U.S.

Ahead of that permanent project, a pop-up version will debut first, featuring 11 outdoor courts for adults, three more just for kids, and a food-and-drinks spot to keep you fueled between games. There will also be community programming baked into the mix, because padel isn’t just about playing. It’s about hanging out, connecting and soaking in the scene.

“Bringing in ULTRA Padel enhances our vision to create vibrant, healthy, and activated public spaces,” Carlos Rosso, founder & CEO of Rosso Development, said in a statement. “We are proud to partner with a pioneering brand that truly understands the intersection of wellness, community, and lifestyle.”

Whether you’ve never held a padel racket or you’re ready for the pro tour, ULTRA Club Midtown is designed to make you feel like you belong on the court. The pop-up padel paradise will be situated right where a $2 billion Midtown Park development is slated to emerge. Think of it as a temporary amuse-bouche before the full-course feast of the two-acre stretch of state-of-the-art courts and amenities dropped into Miami's most connected neighborhood.

The master plan for Midtown Park includes enough lush green spaces, pedestrian-friendly paseos, luxury residences, gourmet dining, high-end retail and public art to make even Wynwood jealous. At the center of it all will be Midtown Park Residences by Proper, a 28-story tower with 288 luxury units and enough amenities to convince you to quit your gym membership forever. Among the perks will be a permanent, eight-court Racquet & Padel Club, a tropical pool deck, a restaurant and bar, spa, a yoga and meditation garden, virtual golf and a communal vegetable garden. And yes, even a pickleball court for those not ready to get on the padel train.

ULTRA Club Midtown isn’t just introducing Miami to padel—it’s embedding the sport into the city. Your serve, pickleball.
