When Afro-Caribbean restaurant Lucia opened last year, it instantly became one of the hottest dining spots in town, with delicious cuisine to match the impossibly stylish interiors. This weekend, the five-star eatery is celebrating its first birthday by summoning the spirit of Carnival, complete with live DJ sets and surprise entertainment. In addition to the full a la carte menu, you’ll be able to order special dishes including scallop “green mango chow,” octopus pholourie and tamarind black garlic pepper wings—a first taste of what’s next for the restaurant from chef and two-time James Beard Award finalist Cleophus “Ophus” Hethington.
