The London Eye is not afraid of a slightly random stunt event, but this one actually sounds very charming. For the Christmas period, one of the pods will be transfored into a grotto (of sorts), where Saint Nick himself will hold court for half-hour sessions of storytelling and general festive joy, with a gift given at the end. It’s £69 per child and parent combo (with options to add more), which sounds pricey but it actually stacks up pretty well next to a normal ride on the Eye, and bear in mind you get a half hour spin through the skies of London.
