Mid-Autumn festival at Museum of the Home

Summer has barely ended, but we’re already getting excited for autumn. And Hoxton’s Museum of the Home is helping you to make the most of the changing of the seasons at its free free Mid-Autumn Festival, with hot drinks, journaling and cosy indoor movies screening.  As part of the Museum’s East and South-East Heritage Programme, the lineup involves a tea circle with community journaling, a lantern-making course and a film screening of Good Mourning Vietnam, a fascinating documentary about traditional Vietnamese mourning rituals. Plus, a pop-up at Hackney’s Centre 151 will bring all the classic festival experiences – live music, food stalls and arts workshops – to close out the event with a bang.
