The Waldorf Project is a series of radical large scale immersive theatre works from artist Sean Rogg, that took place in London and beyond thoughout the ’10s. It’s seemingly been dormant since 2019, but it reemerges at the end of 2026 with the extraordinarily ambitious sounding Chapter Five/Kaihogyo. In a nutshell, the show – for 40 participants per night – is a three-and-a-half-hour labyrinth, staged at a secret Islington location, inspired by the 1,000-day pilgrimage of Japan’s Tendai Buddhist monks’, that is designed to ‘induce an elevated state of consciouness’. There’s a lot going on there, and certainly in an era of rather bland immersion, it sounds pretty damn wild.
