Anglo-French couple John and Monique Davidson’s bags and leather accessories are made in their own Bolton factory, and the brand’s slightly retro aesthetic has stood them in good stead for over 20 years. In the heart of Westbourne Park, the company faces some stiff competition from the neighbouring fashion boutiques, but holds its own thanks to traditional craftsmanship – high-quality leather, hand-stitching – combined with constantly evolving design. The brand steers clear of fly-by-night trends, however, so that the bags won’t date – and helping to justify the prices. Small leather goods include belts, purses and wallets as well as a small range of classically stylish knitwear.
