Tucked away in the lee of the Camden Lock railway bridge, this relaxed optician’s has been tending to the optically challenged of NW1 since Camden’s 1980s heyday. Spec-themed stained-glass windows provide a nice touch of colour to a stylish, pared-back bare-brick space housing a small but well-chosen frame selection. Orgreen, Alain Mikli and ic! Berlin are displayed alongside less familiar designers such as Belgium’s Mix and Etnia from Spain. British designs include Cutler & Gross and Booth & Bruce. Eye tests are reasonably priced and friendly staff are on hand to help with the difficult frame-choosing process.
