The affable owners know all the prices (there are no tags), and are happy to advise according to your budget, and describe the buttons’ histories. Exquisite antique finds glint amid the piles of stock: tiny enamelled designs, hand-painted with roses, say, or Bohemian pressed glass buttons. The art deco button collection has some particularly stylish options to revitalise your garments. As well as buttons, velvet and silk scarves, shawls and pashminas are also stocked, along with smart bags, hats and jewellery.
