Harry Potter fans, it’s time. Ok, we might not have a Hogwarts letter for you, but we have the next best thing: the opening date for the UK’s first official Harry Potter flagship shop.

Yep, in a matter of months central London will be home to 21,000 square feet of space dedicated to the wizarding world. Inspired by Diagon Alley, the two-floor store has been designed to immerse you in magic. It includes a full-sized Knight Bus to take piccies with and its very own Leaky Cauldron serving up frozen, hot and regular Butterbeer, Butterbeer Ice Cream and an assortment of Butterbeer-inspired treats, just in case its liquid form wasn’t quite enough.

The sights and sounds of the recreated Diagon Alley even include the Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon, which will tower over a Gringotts area, keeping a watchful eye on visitors just as it did above the wizarding bank.

Owned by Warner Bros., the new store, which will be located at 134–140 Oxford Street, joins other official Harry Potter shops in the likes of New York, Chicago and Tokyo. Exclusives to the London flagship include the chance to buy a Diagon Alley wand, artworks inspired by the store’s decor and a Butterbeer label collection.

As for when you can apparate straight into the action, the store’s opening date has been announced as November 4 2026 to mark the 25th anniversary of the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Gold Galleons at the ready, folks.
