London travel disruption this weekend: full list of tube and train closures for July 4-6

Here’s how to get around London for Wimbledon, Sabrina Carpenter at Hyde Park and the Pride parade without a hiccup

This weekend, London will be bursting with major events. There’ll be tens of thousands of people pulling up to Hyde Park to watch Sabrina Carpenter play two huge headline shows, thousands more are coming from far and wide to watch the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in southwest London and a million or so other folk will be marching through the city centre for the big Pride in London parade

Suffice to say, all those goings on mean that a lot of people will be relying on London’s train network over the next three days. If you’re one of those people, you’re in the right place. For your weekend plans to go without a hiccup, our best advice is to make sure you have foolproof travel plan. Keep reading for a lowdown on all the closures, cancellations and disruptions to prepare for. 

Full list of tube and train disruptions in London this weekend 

District line 

There are severe delays expected across the entire District line on Friday because of a track fault Tower Hill. There will be no service at all between Tower Hill and Whitechapel. 

Metropolitan

TfL will close the entire Metropolitan line on Saturday and Sunday. It suggests that you use the Jubilee line between Baker Street and Wembley Park and/or replacement buses instead. 

Piccadilly 

There are no Piccadilly line trains running between South Harrow and Uxbridge on Saturday or Sunday. 

DLR 

On both Saturday and Sunday, there’ll be no DLR services between Bank / Tower Gateway and Canning Town / Lewisham, or between Stratford and Canary Wharf. Replacement buses will be around to get you to where you need to be. 

Lioness

On Sunday, until 12pm and from 8.30pm, there’s no Lioness service between Kilburn High Road and Euston. 

Mildmay

There won’t be a Mildmay service between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction until 9.30am on Sunday and the line between Camden Road and Stratford will be closed all day. 

Suffragette

No services are running on the Suffragette line between Barking and Barking Riverside on Sunday and trains will only operate between Gospel Oak and Barking every 20 minutes. 

Weaver 

On Sunday, don’t expect any Weaver line trains between Hackney Downs and Enfield Town / Cheshunt until 10.15am. A rail replacement bus will be on hand to get you where you need to go. 

Windrush 

The Windrush line will be shut between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction / Battersea Park on both Saturday and Sunday.
