Are you brave enough to come face-to-face with a vengeful mummy? This year’s London Dungeon Halloween show will bring you under the deadly curse of a loo roll-wrapped fiend – if you can stomach it.
From October 17 to November 1, visitors will be transported into the spooky tale of the ‘Curse of the Mummy’. Based on a terrifying true story, guests will become immersed in 1880s London across three theatrical shows. Actors playing real historical figures, including the Victorian clairvoyant Madame Helena Blavatsky, will help guests uncover the chilling truth behind the tale – and find out why some tombs are best left undisturbed.

Why is the London Dungeon doing a thing about mummies? Well, during the Victorian era, the city’s elite was throwing its money into Egyptomania and started importing Egyptian mummies to the capital. According to myth, trouble began when four young English travellers took home the ‘Unlucky Mummy’ after visiting the mummy pits of Deir el-Bahri in Egypt.

The travellers’ fates were sealed after crossing paths with the cursed corpse, and disaster followed. One was accidentally shot and lost his arm, another suffered financial ruin, while others died in poverty or mysteriously disappeared. As each owner rid themselves of the body, the next was doomed to a treacherous fate.
Last year, the London Dungeon brought in Dracula for a blood-curdling Halloween adventure. Eerie soundscapes and decaying graveyards made for the backdrop of a thrilling gothic tale, complete with Dracula himself. The year before was centred around a séance, with levitations and live actors giving visitors a taste of the occult.
Catherine Pritchard, general manager for the London Dungeon said about ‘Curse of the Mummy’: ‘This Halloween, it’s a curse we're up against. The Curse of the Mummy has been blamed for ruination and death so naturally, we thought let's bring it to the London Dungeon this Halloween.
‘Guests will come face to face with Victorian London's darkest obsession – ancient Egypt, the occult, and a mummy that really doesn’t like being disturbed. You’ll be so scared you’ll want your mummy!’
The ‘Curse of the Mummy’ show is included within London Dungeon tickets between October 17 and November 1 2026. Advance booking tickets start from £29 for adults and £23.50 for children. Book tickets here.
