The Fay Hield Trio + Darren Black + Matt Alin

Member of a cappella group the Witches Of Eastwick and partner of Jon Boden (who appears on her recent debut album, 'Looking Glass') sings skilled folk songs with his Bellowhead colleague, Sam Sweeney, on fiddle. Plus the string-stoked rustic folk of Black, whose subtle arrangements owe a lot to Nick Drake but have sparkle of their own. (see also Green Note, Monday)
